Martin is a veteran of the food and hospitality world. Trained in country inns, in rural England, Later to lead a distinguished career in Toronto Canada, Being part of world class hotels and leading restaurants.

Now in Florida with wife Valerie, Martin has owned a Tea Shop, Bakery, Cafe . For a number of years, They recently opened Bentley's a neighborhood restaurant with a flair for high quality fresh food, and catering services to homes and businesses.

In this still-sticky econonmy, its more practical to brown bag it for lunch then to go out. But I had no problem justifying my recent midday meal at Bentley's, a small pleasingly cozy restaurant tucked into the Plaza La Mer shopping center in Juno Beach. For less than 10 bucks, including tip, I got a huge bowl of potato leek soup ( the less fattening non-creamy but no less satisfying kind), a never ending glass of iced tea, and thinly sliced pieces of the best cheesy garlic toast I've ever had. Oh this bread! It was hot, soft in the middle, crispy on the edges and good enough ..... to make you ask for another helping, wich negates the healthier soup. But with every soft, crispy bite, I didnt care. And niether will you. trust  me on this.
